Jeremy Harmer Biography
If you’re a qualified TEFL or ESL teacher and you haven’t heard of Jeremy Harmer, you’ve not being paying attention.
Not only are Harmer’s English Language Teaching (ELT) methodology books at the top of every TEFL and CELTA training course, but he’s also authored countless other articles and course materials for teacher training.
Personal life
Harmer is from the UK, has taught in both the UK and Mexico, and is also a folk singer. His last CD was released in 2019, and is called ‘Looking for Signs’.
He has taught in both the UK and Mexico and is married with two daughters.
Education & Qualifications
Harmer completed a BA in English Literature from the University of East Anglia (UEA), later gaining a Masters in Applied Linguistics from the University of Reading.
He gained his Teacher Training certification at International House.
